The Montana State University Bobcats hockey team opened their season on Friday night with a convincing 6-1 victory over the Boise State University Broncos. The Bobcats dominated the game from start to finish, outshooting the Broncos 46-18 and going 0-4 on the powerplay. The Bobcats were led by Ryan Perius, who scored two goals in the game. Jorgen Johnson was stellar in net for the Bobcats, stopping 40 of the Broncos’ 18 shots. The Broncos were unable to capitalize on their 10 powerplay opportunities and were only able to muster one goal, courtesy of Micah Crum.

The Bobcats were in control throughout the game, and their offensive firepower was on full display. The Bobcats’ offensive attack was balanced, as five different players scored goals in the game. The Bobcats’ defense was also impressive, as they kept the Broncos from getting any real offensive momentum.

The Bobcats’ season opener was a great success, and they will look to build on this win as they continue their season. The Bobcats will be back in action on Saturday night, as they take on the University of Idaho Vandals. Be sure to come out and support your Bobcats as they look to keep their winning streak alive!
