The Montana State University Bobcats hockey team faced off against the Weber State University Wildcats in a hard fought battle at the Weber County Ice Sheet on Saturday, October 08, 2022. The Bobcats were looking to get back to their winning ways, but the Wildcats had other plans. The Bobcats were able to outshoot the Wildcats 34 to 20, but only managed to score two goals while the Wildcats scored three.
The Bobcats powerplay was 0/2 and the Wildcats powerplay was 1/1. Bobcats goalie Jorgen Johnson had a great game, making 32 saves on 20 shots. Wildcats goalie Kyle Lane was also impressive, making 32 saves on 34 shots.
Bobcats #14 Steven Irick scored the lone goal for the Bobcats, and Wildcats #72 Andrei Shmakov had two assists. In the end, the Wildcats were able to hold on for the 3-2 victory.
The Bobcats will look to bounce back from this loss and get back to their winning ways. They will have to work hard in practice and come out firing in their next game.
