The Montana State University Bobcats hockey team put on a show Saturday night, as they took down the University of Montana Grizzlies 8-3 in a thrilling game at Haynes Pavilion. The Bobcats dominated the game from start to finish, outshooting the Grizzlies 38-18 and dominating the powerplay, going 1-5 while the Grizzlies went 0-8.
Leading the Bobcats offense was Ryan Perius, who recorded two assists, while Jorgen Johnson was outstanding in net, stopping 15 of the 18 shots he faced. The Grizzlies were led by Connor Orlik, who scored their only goal of the game.
The Bobcats were clearly the better team in this one, and their performance was a great reminder of why they are one of the top teams in the league. With this win, the Bobcats improve to 4-1 on the season and will look to continue their winning ways in their next game.
