The MD2 Montana State University Bobcats hockey team showed their dominance on Thursday night, when they defeated the Utah State University Aggies 5-0. The Bobcats had a total of 46 shots on goal, while the Aggies had 25. The Bobcats were also able to capitalize on their powerplay with a goal, while the Aggies were unable to convert on their 6 powerplay opportunities. Bobcats goalie Jorgen Johnson had an impressive performance, stopping all 25 shots he faced. Bobcats forward Vinnie Farina also had a great game with two assists. The Aggies were led by Trace Farr, who was assessed 8 penalty minutes.
The Bobcats solidified their position atop the MD2 conference with this win, and they look to continue their winning ways in the coming weeks. The Bobcats will have a chance to extend their winning streak when they face the MD2 Colorado State University Rams on October 12th.
