The Montana State University Bobcats faced off against the Miami University RedHawks in a thrilling game at Plager Arena-CCIC on Monday, March 11, 2024. Despite a hard-fought effort, the Bobcats fell short with a final score of 3-0 in favor of the RedHawks.
Both teams displayed impressive offensive capabilities, with the RedHawks recording 25 shots on goal and the Bobcats not far behind with 24 shots. The powerplay opportunities were limited, with the RedHawks going 0/4 and the Bobcats going 0/1 on the powerplay.
In the goaltending department, the RedHawks’ Noah Kinsinger put on a stellar performance, facing 24 shots and making 24 saves to secure the shutout. On the Bobcats’ side, Jorgen Johnson faced 25 shots and made 22 saves in a valiant effort to keep his team in the game.
The lone goal of the game came from the RedHawks’ #20, Gabe Dombrowski, showcasing his offensive prowess and contributing to his team’s victory. The Bobcats faced some penalty trouble, with #19 Lucas Solanik accumulating 4 penalty minutes during the game.
Although the outcome was not in our favor, the Bobcats demonstrated resilience and determination on the ice. Every game is a learning opportunity, and we will take this experience to grow and improve as a team.
