The Montana State University Bobcats started off their season with an impressive 3-0 victory over the Boise State University Broncos on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the Idaho Ice World. The Bobcats showcased their skill and determination on the ice, securing a well-deserved win.

In a tightly contested game, the Bobcats managed to outshoot the Broncos 37-36, with both teams putting up a strong offensive effort. The Bobcats’ powerplay saw 1 opportunity but unfortunately couldn’t convert, while the Broncos had 2 chances on the powerplay but were unable to capitalize.

The standout performance of the night came from Bobcats’ goalie, Jorgen Johnson, who faced 36 shots on goal and made an incredible 36 saves to secure a shutout for the team. Johnson’s stellar performance between the pipes was crucial in keeping the Broncos off the scoreboard and preserving the Bobcats’ lead.

Offensively, Vincent Farina (#16) was a key player for the Bobcats, contributing with 3 assists in the game. Farina’s playmaking abilities helped set up scoring opportunities for his teammates and played a significant role in the Bobcats’ success on the ice.
