The Montana State University Bobcats hockey team came out on top in a thrilling match against the Metropolitan State University-Denver Roadrunners this past Saturday at Ressler Ice Rink. The final score stood at Roadrunners 1, Bobcats 3, with the Bobcats showcasing their skill and determination on the ice.

Despite the Roadrunners firing off an impressive 49 shots throughout the game, the Bobcats held their ground with 46 shots of their own. The Roadrunners had multiple opportunities on the powerplay, but the Bobcats penalty kill stood strong, only allowing one goal out of six attempts.

In the net, both goalies put on a stellar performance. Roadrunners’ goalie Patric Loeffler faced 46 shots and made an impressive 43 saves, while Bobcats’ goalie Jorgen Johnson faced 49 shots and made an outstanding 48 saves, helping secure the victory for the Bobcats.

The scoring was led by Roadrunners’ Matthew Clift, who found the back of the net once. However, it was the Bobcats’ Hayden Klem who stole the show with two crucial goals that propelled the team to victory.

The Bobcats’ powerplay also made an impact, converting on one of their four opportunities to further solidify their lead. The team’s hard work and dedication on both ends of the ice paid off, resulting in a well-deserved win.
