The Montana State University Bobcats hockey team came out on top in a thrilling match against the University of Utah Utes with a final score of 5-2. The game, which took place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Ressler Ice Rink, showcased the Bobcats’ skill and determination on the ice.

The Bobcats dominated in shots, tallying a total of 40 compared to the Utes’ 29 shots. Despite a strong offensive effort, the Utes struggled to convert on their powerplay opportunities, going 0/7, while the Bobcats also fell short on their powerplay chances with a 0/4 record.

In a standout performance, Bobcats goalie Jorgen Johnson made 27 saves out of 29 shots, helping to secure the victory for his team. On the offensive end, Bobcats forward Jake Parent shined with two goals, leading the charge for his team.

Although the Utes managed to find the back of the net twice, with Maximillian Fenne scoring one goal, it was the Bobcats who ultimately emerged victorious, showcasing their resilience and teamwork throughout the game.
