The Montana State University Bobcats hockey team delivered a dominant performance in their recent matchup against the Colorado State University Rams, securing a resounding 10-3 victory at the Weber County Ice Sheet. The Bobcats showcased their offensive prowess with an impressive 56 shots on goal compared to the Rams’ 9 shots, ultimately outshooting their opponents in a commanding fashion.
Despite the Rams managing to capitalize on a couple of powerplay opportunities, going 0/2 on the man advantage, it was the Bobcats who truly shined on the ice. Although the Bobcats’ powerplay was unable to convert on any of their four opportunities, their overall offensive execution was nothing short of exceptional.
In goal, Bobcats’ netminder Jorgen Johnson faced a mere 9 shots, turning away 6 of them to help secure the victory for his team. On the other end, Rams goaltender Josiah Sgro faced a barrage of 56 shots from the Bobcats, making an impressive 46 saves in the losing effort.
Leading the charge for the Bobcats was #8 Caleb Brownell, who dished out an impressive 3 assists to fuel his team’s offensive onslaught. On the Rams’ side, #21 Owen Trevino managed to find the back of the net twice, providing a bright spot in an otherwise challenging game for Colorado State.
