The Montana State University Bobcats hockey team dominated the ice in their recent game against Lake Region State College Royals, securing a convincing 7-1 victory at the Ressler Ice Rink. The Bobcats showcased their offensive prowess with a staggering 50 shots on goal compared to the Royals’ 18 shots.
The Bobcats wasted no time asserting their dominance, with #17 Ben Sutton leading the charge with an impressive two goals. The team’s powerplay was firing on all cylinders, converting on 1 out of 5 opportunities, while the Royals struggled to capitalize on their powerplay chances, going 0 for 3.
In the net, Bobcats’ goaltender Jorgen Johnson stood tall, turning away 17 of the 18 shots he faced, while Royals’ netminder Logan Hendrickson faced a barrage of 50 shots and made 43 saves to keep his team in the game.
Despite the Royals managing to sneak one past Johnson with a goal from #9 Brady Wicklund, the Bobcats’ relentless offensive pressure and solid defensive play proved to be too much for their opponents to handle.
The Bobcats’ dominant performance on both ends of the ice is a testament to their hard work and dedication to the game. With this impressive win under their belts, the Bobcats are poised to continue their success as they strive for greatness in the ACHA.
Congratulations to the Montana State University Bobcats on their well-deserved victory! Go Bobcats!
