The Montana State University Bobcats hockey team put on a dominant performance as they skated to a resounding 13-0 victory over the Eastern Washington University Eagles at Ressler Ice Rink on Sunday, January 26, 2025. The Bobcats’ offensive firepower was on full display as they outshot the Eagles 59 to 15 in a one-sided affair.

The Eagles struggled to generate any offense throughout the game, managing just 15 shots on goal. Their powerplay opportunities also went unanswered, going 0 for 5 on the man advantage. Eagles’ goalie Scott Kennedy faced a barrage of shots, making an impressive 46 saves on the night.

On the other end of the ice, Bobcats’ netminder Tyler Cortis had a relatively quiet night, turning aside all 15 shots he faced to earn the shutout victory. The Bobcats also capitalized on their powerplay opportunities, converting on 1 of 4 chances with the man advantage.

Individual performances stood out for the Bobcats, with Vincent Farina leading the way with 3 assists on the night. Meanwhile, Eagles’ defenseman Brody Roach spent some time in the penalty box, serving 2 penalty minutes during the game.
