The Montana State University Bobcats put up a valiant fight against the Weber State University Wildcats at the Weber County Ice Sheet last night, but ultimately fell short, with a final score of 3-4. Despite the Bobcats outshooting the Wildcats 45-38, the Wildcats managed to capitalize on their opportunities more effectively.
Bobcats’ goalie Nikolai Wallery put on an impressive performance, saving 34 out of 38 shots. However, Wildcats’ Owen Yancey managed to save 29 out of 45 shots, helping to secure the win for his team.
In terms of individual performances, Bobcats’ Hayden Klem (#11) scored a goal, adding to his impressive tally this season. On the other side, Wildcats’ Caden Hunter (#66) was the standout performer, scoring two crucial goals that helped tip the balance in favor of his team.
The Bobcats had 4 powerplay opportunities but were unable to convert any into goals. Similarly, the Wildcats had 3 powerplay chances and also failed to capitalize on them.
The Bobcats will be keen to bounce back from this defeat in their next game. They will be away against the University of Utah on Saturday, November 1st at 4:30 pm MDT at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex.
