In a disappointing performance at the Centene Community Ice Center, the Montana State University Bobcats fell to the Florida Gulf Coast University Eagles in a 7-0 loss. The game, which took place on November 16, 2025, saw the Eagles dominate the ice, leaving the Bobcats with no shots on goal.

The Eagles’ goalie, Kai Girard, had an easy day with no shots to save. In contrast, the Bobcats’ Richie Popson faced a barrage of 7 shots, none of which he was able to block. This disparity in the goaltending department was a significant factor in the Bobcats’ loss.

The Eagles’ powerplay was 0/3 while the Bobcats’ was 0/5, illustrating the tough defensive game played by both teams. However, the Eagles managed to break through the Bobcats’ defense with their #26, Blake Farrell, scoring two goals.

Unfortunately, the Bobcats’ #17, Ben Sutton, spent 2 minutes in the penalty box, further hampering the team’s chances of a comeback.

Despite the loss, the Bobcats are looking forward to their next game. They will face off against Loyola Marymount University on Thursday, November 20, at 4:00 pm MST at the Weber County Ice Sheet. The team will be working hard to bounce back from this setback and deliver a strong performance in their upcoming match.
