In an exhilarating display of skill and tenacity, the Montana State University Bobcats secured a 6-4 victory over the University of Montana Grizzlies at the Glacier Ice Rink on December 5, 2025.
Despite the Grizzlies taking more shots at the goal, the Bobcats demonstrated superior accuracy and control, making 28 shots and scoring 6 goals. The Grizzlies made a commendable effort with 29 shots, but only managed to secure 4 goals.
The Bobcats’ powerplay was 1/5, while the Grizzlies’ was 2/8. The Bobcats’ goalie, Nikolai Wallery, displayed exceptional skill with 25 saves out of 29 shots. On the other hand, the Grizzlies’ goalie, Jordan Belley, managed to save 22 out of 28 shots.
Bobcats’ #17, Ben Sutton, was a standout player, scoring 2 crucial goals that contributed significantly to the Bobcats’ victory. On the Grizzlies’ side, #3 Max Toijala displayed excellent teamwork with 2 assists.
