by MSU Bobcats Hockey | Apr 21, 2026

The Montana State University Bobcats put on a show of force on the ice this Sunday, overwhelming the University of Utah Utes with a staggering 10-2 final score at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex.

The Bobcats outshot the Utes 44-34, demonstrating their offensive prowess throughout the game. Their powerplay was also more effective, scoring on 2 out of 4 opportunities compared to the Utes’ single goal from 6 powerplay chances.

Bobcats’ goalie, Nikolai Wallery, had an impressive performance, saving 32 out of 34 shots. On the other end of the rink, Utes’ goalie Jack Nowicki struggled, saving only 21 out of 44 shots.

Bobcats’ Hayden Klem had a standout performance with 3 assists, contributing significantly to the team’s dominant scoreline. For the Utes, Connor Beers managed to make 2 assists, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide in their favor.

This victory gives the Bobcats significant momentum as they prepare for their next game, an away match against Schoolcraft College on Thursday, March 12 at Plager Arena-CCIC. The Bobcats will be looking to continue their winning streak and further establish their dominance on the ice.
